About Nicole Davidson
In 1996 Nicole left Australia to work in Singapore. She told her mum she’d be back in two years. Six countries, fifteen years and an incredibly rewarding career in international education later, she arrived home.
The decision to take that opportunity took Nicole to some amazing places and offered her unique experiences in which she learned a lot about people, life, leadership, organisational culture, and herself.
Teaching primary school students amidst monsoonal rains in Singapore, catching tuk tuks in Sri Lanka and celebrating a major life milestone at the Great Wall in the People’s Republic of China, Nicole had the great fortune to meet a large variety of people from diverse cultures and all walks of life.
A seven-hundred-kilometre solo walk across northern Spain in the summer of 2009 was a turning point for Nicole. With so much time and clear air to ponder life, she came to understand the impact of the ‘busyness’ many of us create in our lives – the tendency to focus on the busy rather than the important, and the disconnection and separation it can cause us to feel.
The simple truths of life
No longer willing to be fulfilled in only some areas of her life, Nicole made the decision to ‘have it all’ and committed to discovering what that meant for her.
Leaving a job and life she loved on so many levels to create a life she loved on all levels wasn’t a straight road. There were twists and turns and many life lessons along the way that she shares in her work today.
Nicole came away with some simple beliefs: We want to feel inspired. We want to feel that we matter. We want to feel that what we do matters. And – perhaps most importantly – we want to be happy.
Nicole founded Growth to Success in 2014 to help people create that reality in their business and life. Nicole is committed to supporting leaders and businesses to effectively harness the energy of their people to create workplaces in which everyone can bring the best of who they are.
